Meet Winston
At the age of 5, Winston suffered a fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE) that caused complete paralysis in his right hind leg. This meant our 100 lb. Bernedoodle had to drag his hind leg and couldn't balance himself or walk without support. Rehab started on day 2 with acupuncture and red light therapy. Progress was slow. On day 6, we added peptides to see if we could fast-track his recovery. Within 72 hours, we saw significant improvement. His leg dragging started to change towards weight-bearing. He began to use his leg and paw. His balance was improving. He was more willing to move on his own. His personality was returning-he was no longer defeated. Our rehab vet asked what we were doing! Fast forward to 6 weeks, and he could move without hesitation. While he still walks with a new, hobbled gait, we are forever grateful he is doing so independently again. Winston has quality of life.
Meet Bettis
Bettis was not aging gracefully. At 13, he struggled to get up from a nap, walk down the stairs, and jump on the bed. He groaned while doing all of those things.
